Hey everyone,

First of all, I can't really express how glad I am that I found this forum. I did not really have the time to look around here, but I have my nights ahead for browsing and reading through.

In fact it's a coincidence (if one can believe in such thing) that I run into Tag Heuer watch brand. I mean, of course I always known about it, only I had more attention for brands like Omega and Rolex. Actually I had been hunting for a real catch in Speedy Pro or Seamaster 300. Unfortunately though recently realized that it won't be in the near future when I can afford myself a watch that costs +2,000 USD, let alone wouldn't dream about owning a Roelx sub. Then last weekend I stumbled upon an article written about TH 844 diver watch. What can I say, instant love :) That classic sub image and the story behind it? Wow :)

I got so much so interested that I started to look for one and did I get lucky? I found this beauty on eBay. What do you guys think?

It is on its way from Spain... the waiting is the worst part I guess. Already started to play around with strap options to dress down/up this awesome watch.

Really appreciate the information here and as I get to know more and more about the 844 divers, I can't say otherwise but I'm getting prouder to soon own one of the iconic watch of this brand. Is there a thread particularly for 1000 series (844) diver watches though?

Cheers,
Gergely

I meant is there a thread here dedicated to TH diver watches?

Hi @xgeryx and welcome. There isn't a thread dedicated to the divers, but if there is enough interest I'm happy to create one.

That's a very clean 844 you have- enjoy!!

Hey D.C.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'd be interested in a topic dedicated to these wonderful watches. I think the history and the versatility of this watch can provide many talking points. Thanks for considering.

Yes it seems a very clean 844, can't wait for it to arrive finally.

Hi. Curious, is there a way to know the date of an article on the main site? I can't see any dates for reference.

Posted elsewhere on the forum with a first post but, thanks for this place, interesting reading and marvelous pictures of watches I'd not heard of, but now that I have, well, a slightly used kidney anyone?
