I had a kitten that did that to an older cat I had. I guess the kitten had mommy issues and insisted on being right near my old (olde) cat. Poor olde hated it she was getting near the end just wanted to chill but kitten thought she was her mother. Poor olde was flabbergasted I think it brought on her demise. Shit I’ve had a lot of cats. Never more than three at once.

Ha ha yup and it was a 24/7 thing. Every so often you do have cats who become buddies off the rip but in my experience it’s slow introduction followed by mutual tolerance leading to kinship

Feeling nostalgic for my beloved Zelda today. Almost one and a half years, but I still think about her all the time. The house (and the tent) isn't the same without her.

Max is not allowed on his mom's favorite chair, but I don't think she reads OF. ;)

These rubber boots help Remi get a grip on the tiles...he's getting weaker and staying vertical on slippery surfaces is getting tougher.

Can't leave these on for too long, but they help him when he wants to have a wander.

Polo enjoying himself on Rivington Moor where he'd walked 1000's of miles.

Mobile phones definitely help to keep the memories alive
Indeed. Last night, I was looking at pictures of our sweet Yorkie who passed away almost 9 years ago. ❤️

I can't imagine there will be a time when Polo's pics don't give me a lump in my throat.

Bumping my favorite thread with some photos of Max and Opus from a recent backpacking trip in Colorado. We were in an area called the West Elks Wilderness and the distinctive rock formation in the background of the first photo is called The Castles. On the second day of the trip, we spent several hours following a high ridgeline (rolling between 12,500–13,000 ft) all the way around the Castles, which was pretty fun and scenic.

I did this same trip two summers ago with Zelda and Max, so knew what to expect, but Mrs. S said that I understated the knife-edge. It's hard to capture in photos, but there was significant exposure on both sides in one section that involved some scrambling, which can get your adrenaline pumping. Max is such a klutz in our usual daily life, but when climbing, he is remarkably sure-footed and athletic. He always impresses us.
