Thank you. Having ordered the Gen 4 I was wondering if I should order an orange Gen 3 or Gen 4 strap...

That's the 1 I ordered the Orange Gen 4.
I can't find an option online to order Gen 3.
I think they are removed from sale on Tag Website because the Gen 4 is more expensive.
But ultimately we should be able to get Gen 3 again as Gen 4 doesn't fit E4 properly.

Is any smart watch worth a starting price of 1800 pounds ? No , I’m my view. I bought all of my gen 2 collection at 30 to 50 percent off retail. I would never pay retail for a watch, especially a high end smart watch.

not in my book

all these smart watches are only current during their first year, the next, they are obsolete when the new model comes out.

let’s not even talk about the fact that you have charge them every night

you mean E3 properly ?

Now if Gen 3 band were available (I could order one but delivery is 5-6 weeks so I can always cancel), and if price was not a huge issue, would you pick the Gen 4 or Gen 3 band in term of quality/built (for the E4 watch) ?

How is the box compared with Gen3 and with Gen2 Modular 45?

Thanks for the pictures. The AOD mode on the 1st picture looks much brighter than on Gen 3...

Also, the strap looks a bit more textured on the outside than Gen 3's doesn't it ?

Screen much brighter than E3.
Straps are more flexible and feel thinner than previous.
Yellow is E3 and Black E4

The screen brightness and that dock would have me persuaded to change!

Does the new fitness app work out of the box or is that coming soon?

I was wondering if the new watch faces shows in the TH app as soon as you connect the watch as by default, they don't show up in the app... also the Carbon face has been kept in the Gen 4 ? Thanks

No Carbon in App or Watch.
Can confirm that the faces show up in the App right away and they also show up in the Wear OS App.

That TH would make the E3 straps compatible with E4, but not vice versa, is some real bullshit. My watch is less than two years old and I can't buy new straps. There also isn't a mechanical module. There is no reason E4 straps couldn't have been designed to be compatible with the E3.

Did you try to order Gen3 straps through your AD? Maybe they are not available to buy online but you still can order them through an AD or physicall TH store

At least we have all the new faces on the Gen 3 today, just the fitness app now!

I've got about 10 straps and there aren't any that have been released that I want but don't already have. My disappointment is that new straps for E4 won't be options, and there is no good reason to not make them backward compatible.

Agree, poor stuff. I have Apple Watch straps from Gen 1 that fit my Gen 7. The fact the 3 straps fit the 4 but not the other way, just weird. Have checked with my AD about getting one last for my Gen 3!
