1413768081356-1381244942.jpg I recently got this watch. What can you tell me about it?
What I do know (or at least think I do..)
It's a Zenith trench watch
It's in sterling silver
It was produced in the 20s (serial number 237xxxx)
It says "AWC co 1244994 05" on the inner case back

I'd probably like to sell it if someone can shed some light on value also I'd appreciate it.

The movement was made in 1919 or 1920. The movement is one of Zenith's N.V.S.I. calibres, probably the 13''' version, from the looks of it. No one at Zenith remembers what "N.V.S.I." stands for.

The case was made by the American Watch Case Company of Toronto, Canada. They made silver, gold and gold filled cases.

Some factors that will affect valuation include the diameter of the case, and the function of the movement. Is it running? Has it ever been serviced?

It looks to be in fair condition, and probably all original. I suspect the value at auction would be somewhere in the $200-$400 range, depending on how it's running.

Thanks for all the info. you pretty much answered all my questions. I can guarantee it's all original, it was left at a watchmaker for service in the 40s-50s and maybe even 60s and never picked up.
