I saw this at a flea market yesterday. Not sure if it worked, but the leather was too rough to want to bring it home anyway. Interesting and pretty cool though! I thought it might have been a promotional item, but apparently they made a lot of radios in the ‘50s

I had a Bulova portable radio in high school (70 years ago, mind you.) It ran on a 67-volt battery which didn’t last very long. And the battery was NOT rechargeable! Good luck trying to locate a battery, today! It appears as though you have the option of plugging it into a 120-volt outlet. Did you ever see or hear of one of these Seikos?

⬆️ignore! Just googled it and it appears that B&O simply slapped their name on some Skagen quartz model! Carry on gents🍻

During the quartz watch crisis of the 1970s, Zenith (the Swiss watch company) was owned for a while by the Zenith Radio Corporation of America. It was during this period that Charles Vermot hid the El Primero dials and movements in the attic - a great story if you haven't read about it:
