On the suggestion of @Bill Sohne how about we have a thread on these under appreciated, Gerald Genta designed chronometers?

I’ll kick things off!

I picked up this 168.029 with a cal. 751 inside, out of an auction last year, took it to STS for a service, and some links, wore it a handful of times, and then needed funds to pay for boring things, so off it went to live with @Tiger8888.

I kinda regretted this, but nerds must.

This week I picked up this 168.017 from a couple of fuzzy eBay pictures.

I called in to see Tony at STS today, and am pleased to report that it contained a dirty, if untouched cal. 564.

It’s booked in for a full service, and gentle case refinish to bring it back to tip-top shape.

So those are mine (for now) - let’s see what you’ve got ladies and gents!

Here’s my grandfather’s current daily driver! After trying it out the other night I’ve gotten an itch for one E934624C-1D22-47B0-B321-524624A1561E.jpeg

I like them. I've always assumed that C case stood for cushion, but never had confirmation. Does it?

That gold one @Bill Sohne - WOW!

Is this the model that gets referred to as the “deluxe”?

Gold everything...
You know ....

I just remembered it being refered to as the "c" watch .. aka 1000$ at one point...

I remember gettting this from a pawn broker... told me the seller traded it in for a Rolex datejust !

hahahahaha

Go figure

Hey,

Here is my 18k gold one. It has a different bracelet. What do you think about the condition? The seller made an over 1000€ revision at Omega

My biggest problem is remembering how many C-cases I used to own. ::facepalm2::

I use to have one of those! They wear very comfortably. It was in my early days of collecting and sold it to my friend for just 450$.....::facepalm1:: Wish I knew OF back then...

There was a time less than a decade ago that you could get really nice examples for that money. With original bracelets they were under $600.
