George Town, Cayman Islands, May 8, 2017 – Swiss Avant Garde watchmaker TAG Heuer and top retailer Kirk Freeport hosted an exclusive dinner on Friday, May 5, at Rum Point, Grand Cayman, to reveal their latest collaboration. 80 lucky guests discovered the second model of the TAG Heuer Cayman Limited edition to benefit to the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation (GHOF).

The GHOF aims is to help ensure that future generations will enjoy and benefit from a naturally balanced ocean ecosystem. With this collaboration, TAG Heuer together with Kirk Freeport hope to raise awareness of marine environment protection and highlight the important work undertaken by the GHOF.

In the presence of Christian Weissbach, President of LVMH Watch & Jewelry Caribbean and Latin America, the Kirkonnell Family of Kirk Freeport and Guy Harvey, renowned marine wildlife artist, scientist and conservationist, the evening began with a catamaran cocktail sail to reach Rum Point, where dinner under the stars was followed by a presentation. Guests learned about the latest scientific research and educational programs lead by the GHOF and discovered this new special TAG Heuer Cayman edition available in Men’s and Women’s versions.

“After a first collaboration in 2014, we are thrilled to team up once again with TAG Heuer and Kirk Freeport for a deeper partnership to spread the word about the importance of protecting the marine environment” said Guy Harvey.

F1? Not an Aquaracer?
I know! So dumb! Sometimes the stuff that TAG does just leaves me scratching my head....

That Kirk Freeport is bang in between the two small terminals where the cruise tenders dock on the Grand Cayman strip. From memory there is a huge Guy Harvey billboard either just behind or on the roof? On a good (bad?) day you can have around seven cruise ships anchored in the bay and the main strip is literally heaving with Hawaiian-shirted tourists, loaded up on cocktails and desperate to blow some duty free cash.
Pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap. The boutique will have armfuls of these mass produced babies and they will fly. I would imagine they'd sell at least five of these for every potential Aquaracer sale.

There'll be some logic there- either it's cost based ("We want a watch for less than US$1500") or perhaps because there have already been multiple Cayman-edition Aquaracers

This will fit better with aquaracer that would look sick with a shark/dolphine inside. Just my opinion.

If that white version was just a bit larger it’d make an elegant men’s option, IMHO.

And they should be Aquaracers.
