I just took delivery of an Omega DeVille with a technical dial. The omega reference is 136.019 marked on the caseback with tool 106 plus waterproof. The watch is a front loader. There is the exact same mark between the lugs and I can not work out if it is ware or was original to the watch as I have never seen it before. The watch looks very clean with I would say little use. Nice sharp lugs. Any ideas . Thanks.

That bevel is something that these cases just have, it’s not wear but part of the case design

Is Peter's post format a bit strange?
Looks like a reply but I couldn't see anything that would trigger it.

It looks like the OP may have accidentally hit the quote button below the comment box before composing their post. They may have overlooked it, as my screenshot shows, the comment box still looks kind of normal when the quote button is engaged.

It certainly was meant to be a normal question post so the above explanation seems plausible.

Sounds like that's what happened, no problems Peter, just thought it may have been a glitch in the new format.

I believe this is an intentional clearance for the strap.

Certainly can. I have already done so in a earlier posting but here goes again. IMG20240910221922.jpg

That’s an unusual dial for a DV. As noted could be described as technical. Interesting piece, I’ve not seen it before.

I did have an earlier posting on this. Very strange as it has 22 markers between every 5 minutes. I can't fathom why.
