I finally picked-up this New Vintage 1969 yesterday!!

It is actually my first modern Zenith and my very first El Primero, so no need to explain the importance it has to me as a young Zenith enthusiast!

Few months ago I was ready to go for an Original 1969 and a New Vintage 1969 shows up on the forum, and this watch leads its way to my heart.::love::

With this watch I experienced the "need" for a watch for the first time and looking backward it's a bit scary what this "need" can change into your priority list

This exemple is number 300/500 with a 9.9/10 condition and has been serviced a year ago... but I know pictures will tell you more ;)

You are going to love this watch. It's not an exact copy, and it has attractions of its own apart from the original. Highly recommended

Thanks LouS!

I would have loved to have the A3817 blue script &hand on the silver subdial but as you say it's a tribute not a copy!

Incredible, it has the originals charm for sure. Love the hands and how they applied the lume. The registers make it imo!

Enjoy,

Thomas

We can't (I can't) have a thread about a 2009 Zenith without posting my favorite photo of creator Thierry Nataf:

Very attractive and I'm definitely envious! A clever dial design that shows you how well a two tone chronograph dial CAN be done with subtle handling of the sub dials sizing/placement and colour contrast. Earlier this year I found myself repeat-posting (sorry!) about my disappointment with the new Speedy LE CK2998, especially the 'top heavy' look of the dial. This Zenith proves just how elegantly balance can be achieved, and pulls off the sub dial overlapping with ease, whereas this feature can looks awful on a chronograph.
