Have you seen a 2996 with this configuration?

A black dialed 2996 with Seamaster script and broad arrow hands.


Normal examples I saw were:
Black 2996 Ranchero with broad arrow hands.
PAF Black 2996 Seamaster with dauphine hands(Serial number 1752xxx).

But I never seen a 2996 with Seamaster script and broad arrow hands, without PAF on the case back. Serial number is also 170xxxx.
One thing to highlight: The lume seems to be sunken into the dial, which I only see this on 2913, 2914 and subsequent 5-digit reference models.

Similarity: Almost the same dial. Cannot tell if the lume is sunken into the dial.
Difference: Calibre 284, serial number 168xxxx with EoA.

Similarity: Same dial with sunken lume, but this one has dauphine hands.
Difference: Calibre 284, serial number 169xxxx.

With the exceptions that you noted, dauphine hands, center seconds and a caliber 284 or 285 would be correct for a 2996. The 2996 case is identical to the 2990 with the exception of a domed case back to accommodate the taller center seconds movement.

Thank you Greg. I bought this watch and just want to check whether there is any other sample with the same configuration here, especially with the sunken lume.

Thank you for your confirmation. I saw your post and they are exactly the same: broad arrow hands and sunken Railmaster style lume. Interesting watch.
