G381 or G581... Or neither?

I've been looking for a G581 and a G582, and I just came across this watch:
http://www.lorologiese.com/it/zenit...limited-edition-700-pieces-top-condition.html

It's labeled as a G381, but the case looks like a G581 to me.

I'm far from expert here, so I wanted to post it here to get your take. G581 case, yeah? Just labeled it wrong? Or frakenwatch territory? I know it's way overpolished and overpriced - I'm not a likely buyer, just want to make sure my information is straight.

Thanks in advance!

G581. Their confusion might stem from the mislabeling of a G581 as a G381 in Rössler. Overpolished, as you say, and I think the hour and minute hands are replacements.

Yep, G581, one of Roessler's more notable errors. Pretty rare reference, but not a great example. Lorologiese has polished the case number right off along with most of the lug definition - steams my clams, as it would have been nice to have another of these in the database.

Thanks LouS.

BTW, your photography is fantastic. Your photos provide the best views of many of these references. Such a great resource. Thanks for sharing your shots.

Best 5-series case I've ever seen, I think

...amd this gets the award for best overall G 581 - at least in photos. Not a bad way to start the year.
