Or a mess of Captains...

...another installment in the "Lunch with LouS" series. LouS was kind enough to descend into the crush of pilgrim consumers around Times Square last Saturday and meet me and my daughter for lunch... a welcome respite from a whirlwind weekend of extreme tourism. He brought some killer Captains (eternal dibs on the pink cal 71) and of course some heart-breaking chronos. I brought my Captains, my A386 for the papal blessing, the Cairelli, and a small assortment of things LouS ain't got... which narrowed down the choices.

Here's the wide view of the smorgasbord and a detail. Next time I'll bring a real camera.

Thanks to LouS for lunch and for schlepping some treasured pieces down to Midtown on short notice. Hope to meet the rest of the NY/NJ ΩF contingent next time... you know, when there ain't a young lady present. ;)

I'm delighted MMMD planned a trip to town for a watch lunch, cleverly camouflaging the whole thing as a daddy-daughter weekend.
For the record, the young lady did very well, betraying surprisingly little impatience at two old guys frothing at the mouth over watches, although I noted it took giving her the A 386 to wear - sharp kid, evidently.

Note to self: inquire about lighting at the next place I have a watch lunch

Here's the view from across the table

Those Tricompaxes! One day, maybe in ten years, I'll find one like that silver dialed one. It's my personal grail.

You could make things easier and just give it to me, of course. :whistling:

Wonderful collection! So many nice chronos.
