Cal 2552PC or Cal 2542PC? That's nobody's business but the Turks

A little while ago, in some thread around here, someone raised the question of the authenticity of the surprisingly frequent kinda-interesting Zeniths that pop up from several Turkish sellers (or at least several Turkish eBay identities). Behold the miracle of the highly-advanced Turkish Watch Replicator/Confabulator

First offering - September 27, 2013 - a well-worn black dial S.58 with NSA bracelet and cal 2552PC is sold for best offer below USD4999

Second offering - October 17, 2013 - a surprisingly similar S.58 on auction ends early, having reached USD1375 "because the item was sold." Either that, or perhaps it has occurred to seller peneyes that the cal 2552PC is a little late for an S.58?

Third offering - November 17, 2013 - another surprisingly similar S.58, except that now it has a somewhat more believable cal 2542PC, sells for USD2275.

There has to be a perfect way to describe eBay in general. "Necessary evil" is too tame, yet "complete shit hole" is too strong.

don't you get dinged for ebay fees once you sell items? That guy sold the same item 3 times.

The seller reports the "buyer" (usually another account created by them for shilling so it's disposable) for non-payment so they don't get hit with the fees. The "buyer" can even leave them feedback.

Yep, there's a few huge flaws in the eBay system and they appear to be entirely disinterested in addressing them. Indeed, there is no channel to communicate feedback with them, at least not that I could discover. The phone lines are populated by agreeable women reading from scripts in accented English, and they for sure don't want to know anything complicated and outside the box.
But back to the S58, I think it's pushing it to expect these Turkish guys to be too bothered with authenticity and accuracy. I guess we ought to be thankful he didn't put a nice quartz movement in it. Caveat emptor, I guess. Shocking.

eBay probably makes so much money from shillers bidding the prices up they don't care.
