You might struggle to send that one back against the seller's description of "Zenith A386 in very good condition". From what I see, it is as described despite the replacement dial, hands, tachy ring and crown and it could be argued that the price takes this into account. I hope you asked for a movement photo.

Stewart- I have trouble making out the distinctions between original and service tachy. Any pointers?

Does this one look kosher?

Larry. I don't know the nuances - I'm sure LouS or someone else will chip in. My assumption was based on the fact that the ring looks very clean and if the dial and hands needed to be replaced, an original ring would show signs of aging, disproportionate to the replaced parts, otherwise they would not have needed to be replaced in the first instance.

The C of TACHYMETRE is rounded in the Service.... this is the most evident,
however also the number's font

OK, I give it a try

A original dial, original hands (or perfectly colored relume), tachy ok
B service dial, service hands, service tachy
C seems all original (in perfect condition – almost too good)
D original Dial (but lume looks almost too good – maybe relumed, service hands, tachy ok
E looks all original (hands
F dial and tachy original, service hands
G all service (dial, tachy hands)
