The last 15 laps were very exciting! I believe the lead changed back & forth around 3 or 4 times.

But in the end, it was old school triumphant over the young gun.

Helio, a fan favorite for his enthusiasm and likable personality, won the fans over again with his fourth INDY 500 win! He joins A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears for most wins in that event ever. He has entered a pretty exclusive club, congratulations Helio!

Well this was interesting... I don't know a damn thing about Indycar but this was comedy at it's finest. The sort of things you'd expect from F1 20 years ago, running out of fuel, wheels falling off, cars crashing in the pitlane...

Some of the action was indeed crazy, but that's also what made the race very entertaining. Also, I probably did enjoy F1 more 20 years ago.

It was an exciting race! ::love::
Congrats to Helio!! I’m always happy to see a Brazilian driver winning!! :)

I was pushing the Catalan driver Alex Palou (he is also from Barcelona, like me), and he was really close to win the race in just his second time in the Indy 500, and only his 6th race in oval circuits… and it’s clear that experience matters!

So congrats to Alex because he did a great race, and with this fantastic second place in the Indy 500 he is now leading the Indycar Championship. Not bad at all ;)

Very amateurish at best, here's a "watch" look at the race. Please overlook the "In Victory Lane, after drinking the symbolic milk, Castroneves was presented with a TAG Heuer timepiece. A watch that will fit nicely into his collection as we previously interviewed this now five-time Indy 500 winner." blunder. But then again she was an invited TAG Heuer guest, and I wasn't. There are names and pics that might be of interest to some.

No mention of the 2022 INDY 500 here, yet, so here goes.
Marcus Ericsson won today's 106th running of the race. The 2nd Swede to do so, Kenny Bräck being the other in 1999.
